Boys win the Orange County Title on Varsity, Freshmen, and Juniors!
With Landgraf paving the way, Dana Hills continued its run atop the county mountain for the third straight season and the fourth time in the last six years.
Dana Hills junior Simon Fuller, who provided a huge spark by placing fifth in a time of 14:58.6 (14:59), highlighted the Dolphins’ commitment to running well as a team as a big reason for their success.
“We tried to see if we could find a path for us to run together for as long as possible before finishing strong at the end,” Fuller said. “I love running with my teammates and I feel lucky to be part of this program.”
Junior Eddy Wagenseller, sophomore Carrick Denker, and senior Sagan Svobodaalso scored in the top 30 for the Dolphins.
The victory pushed Dana Hills’ county record of team titles to nine, all of which have been won since the program captured its first title in 2002.
They also became the first team in county history to “3-Peat” team titles twice, having also won three straight between 2007-09. READ FULL ARTICLE HERE
